This is an antique Albert-type print of a view from 59th Street of the Chicago Columbian Exposition, 1893. Afar in the background can be seen the magnificent structures that were built for a rather short period of time, yet attracted 27,300,000 curious visitors. In this particular image are several important buildings, such as the Illinois State Building, the U.S. Government Building and the Manufacture and Liberal Arts Building. A Street in Cairo, the Bernese Alps, a German Village, and Fisheries are also apart of this interesting photo.
Condition: On high quality paper and suitable for framing. Slight crease in left margin.
