Antique Polar Projections
For those of us used to the Mercator projection, common in classrooms across the world, polar projections are a welcome change of perspective. Our stock of these projections for sale lets the viewer see the world from a new angle, and draw new conclusions about distance and the size of landmasses. We have a lovely pictorial map from Blondel la Rougery that shows both the Arctic and Antarctic in beautiful pastel colors. For those interested in WW2 history, also in stock is one of the most famous propaganda posters from the era, showing Berlin as the center of the map, from which concentric circles emanate, forming a target. For those looking for a more brightly colored piece, there's Race Around The World Game/Map, a Japanese game where the goal seems to be to traverse the globe.
