The main image in the map is of the island of Crete. It shows many place names from both classical and contemporary sources. Some topography such as mountains, forests, and rivers are depicted throughout the map. Just south of Pannona, the legendary Labyrinth is noted. The three smaller maps are similar in their depiction of topography and place names, both classical and contemporary. Several tables list towns, uncertain locations, and people. Decorative elements of this map include a strapwork title cartouche, a sailing ship and two sea monsters.
