This authentic hand-colored antique map from Mitchell’s New General Atlas depicts Mexico, Central America and the West Indies plus the southern portion of the United States from North Carolina and Florida in the east to New Mexico and the southern tip of California in the West.
The West Indies, Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti and Dominican Republic, Mexico and Central America are shown in detail and there are four additional inset maps of Bermuda, the Panama Railroad, Cuba and Jamaica. The maps are framed by a distinctive floral and vine-leaf border.
Condition: This print is in B+ condition with light toning around the edges. There was a center fold separation along with some other separations in the lower margin that have been repaired on the verso.
