Chorography is the art of describing or mapping a region or district, and by extension such a description or map. Camden is also know for the "Annales," the first detailed historical account of the reign of Elizabeth I of England.

Antiquarian and historian Camden (1551-1623) is shown in his heraldic robes as the Clarencieux king-at-arms.
