This is an authentic, antique map of the Hawaiian Islands by the General Land Office of the United States of America. The map was published out of Washington D.C. in 1909.
This scarce, large format map depicts the Hawaiian Islands as a territory of the United States. The main portion of the map extends from the Big Island of Hawaii to Nihau, just west of Kauai. An insert in the lower left, titled “Hawaiian Archipelago” depicts the Hawaiian Islands Bird Reservation and includes Midway Island. Each island shows its regional divisions and includes topographical detail, place names, and in the case of the Big Island, Locations and dates of various lava flows.
Condition: This map is in A condition, original folded, with little to no wear along the folds or their intersections. Entire map and surrounding border is clean without imperfections to distract from the image.
