This striking authentic antique map was issued hand-colored for the third American edition of the Atlas. It depicts and details Ireland as it was known in the first quarter of the nineteenth century, with a numbered list of counties which correspond to numbers on the map itself.
As with other maps from this Atlas, a wealth of information is provided concerning all aspects of life, nature, geography, government and religion. Historical accounts of different time periods in Ireland's history are also included.
Condition: This map is in B+ condition. Light toning of the centerfold and minor foxing and soiling. A short separation of the lower centerfold has been repaired with archival material on the verso.
