This authentic antique map was hand-colored when issued for the third American edition of the Atlas, and depicts India and parts of Tibet and Persia, with all pertinent information relating to the map surrounding the image on three sides. Text in English.
Among the topics included are Situation, Boundaries and Extent, Division, Mountains, Rivers, Natural History and Produce, Population, and interestingly, 'Remarkable Battles and Sieges Subsequent to the Invasion of Genghis Khan'. Also described are its islands, history and the British Possessions.
Condition: This map is in A condition. Slight toning in a portion of the centerfold and a short tear in the upper right border which has been repaired with archival material on the verso.
