This ‘Official U.S. Treasury Poster’ published during WWII features the face of a member of the United States Marine Corps contemplating the invasion of the Japanese home islands.
The Marine grimaces, gritting his teeth and setting his jaw as he envisions what is to come. The 6th War Loan raised $21.5 billion, part of which was allocated to the Japanese front. Six million people sold bonds in 1944, the year this poster was published.
Condition: This original poster is in B+ condition. A centerfold separation has been repaired with archival material on the verso.
