1898 Antique Prints: United States Army
DESCRIPTION
This is a fine selection of remarkable gravure prints illustrating scenes of the United States Army from the late 18th century to the the turn of the 20th century. These prints were made from original paintings by artists such as Jean Andre Castaigne, Hugh Ditzler, Eugene Chaperon, and others.
Each print is mounted onto a heavy rag paper as originally issued in the National Edition of the Army and Navy of the United States 1776 - 1898 by George Barrie & Son.
CONDITION
These prints are in A condition with some light damp-staining, occasional minor tears and bumped corners to the heavy mounting paper that holds each print.
