This whimsical silk scarf depicts an amusing map of the United States, from the perspective of a proud Texan viewing his state in oversized proportion to the rest of the country. Names of the states have been humorously changed, for example: Oklahoma is "Oklahomely," Pennsylvania is "Quacker State," Illinois is “Ill Noise,” and Florida is “Storm Area,” to name a few. There are many pictorial scenes included as part of the map that include whales in the Pacific noted as being used to stock Texas fish ponds, and a bull fighter in Texico (Mexico). Oversized longhorn crowns the very top of the map, that is joined by the state bird, flag, and a compass rose utilizing the five point star to include Texas as a direction. Dozens of pictorial images fill the oversized state with cowboys, beautiful Texas woman, oil refinery, fattest Herefords in the world, and the greatest pine forest on Earth. There is really too much humor to list.
Condition: This map is in A condition. The scarf has typical creases from being in storage and a bit of moderate handling wear.
