This is an exceptional, original vintage poster made to promote the motion picture, Star Wars, episode IV, directed by George Luca, starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Cushing and George Lucas. This poster is a 3rd printing example, identified by the Graphic Arts International Union logo at bottom, Style "A" 77/21 and the title STAR WARS in the bottom right corner.
The artwork was done by the Tom Jung and features Luke and Leia Skywalker armed with a light saber and blaster pistol with the droids R2D2 and C3PO standing behind them. In the background, the ominous head of Darth Vader stares out towards the galaxy with a fleet of rebel X-Wing fighters flying in tight formation towards the Death Star.
Condition: This original poster is in A condition, professionally linen backed for preservation and presentation purposes. Any short edge tears have been closed and reinforced and any distress to the paper from original folds have been touched up to offer a exceptional eye-appeal.
