1950 Finland Land of Romance
DESCRIPTION
This is a striking mid-century travel poster / map of Finland advertising tourism to the country. The artwork was done by Helge Mether-Borgström (1913 - 1985), a Finnish advertising graphic artist.
The work features a boat flying the Finnish flag, making its way through a fjord with tall pines in the foreground and other island in the background. The overall image done in the shape of the country of Finland and is accented by a flying seagull at left-center. This vintage travel poster was printed by Norblad and Pettersson and issued by the Finnish Tourist Association.
CONDITION
This vintage poster is in A condition with lovely color and full margins. The piece has been linen backed for preservation and presentation purposes.
