1893 In The Garden
DESCRIPTION
An original late 19th century fine art print of a painting by the Russian artist N. Kuznezoff that was on display at the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. This antique print, etched by Eugene Decisy was part of the 1893 George Barrie publication of Art and Architecture by William Walton.
This beautiful lithograph print allows the viewer to take a glimpse back in time of Russian farmers harvesting Bee Hives at the height of the noonday glare. The original description that accompanies this print describes the work as follows;
"This brilliant etching reproduces one of the most vigorous works in the Russian exhibit, and an excellent example of the modern school which succeeded the weak and academically one of the period of the Czar Alexander I."
