DESCRIPTION
Color litho of Major Gen. W. S. Rosecrans, who was an American inventor, coal-oil company executive, diplomat, politician, & U.S. Army officer. A West Point graduate, Rosecrans gained fame for his role as a Union general serving as a subordinate of Ulysses S. Grant during the American Civil War. He was involved in many battles, including the battle of Luka, Corinth, Stones River, Tullahoma, and Chickamauga.
CONDITION
These prints are in very good condition with some light damp-staining along the left margin, well away from the image.
