South Dakota is one of the Prairie States and one of the last strongholds of the Sioux Indians.  It's divided into two parts by the Missouri River. East, you'll see a rich farming region, where many Russians and Scandinavians farmers settled. West of the river, you will find Plains with deep ravines and semi-arid.  The Bad Lands are depicted as a series of colorful cliffs and canyons. At the bottom of the map are an Indian & a cowboy holding the title banner.
