This lively map of Arkansas in 1935 is filled with whimsical characters, some stereotypical of that period.  The point where the Arkansas and Mississippi Rivers meet, shows different types of water craft, including the Paddlewheel boat.  Hot Springs National Park is evident, as are the Ozark Mountains.  Murfreesboro boasts the "only diamond mines in the U.S".  Rose farms, granite quarries, clay pottery, and Cypress swamps, can also be found in this diverse state.  The Compass Rose, in the lower right corner, depicts a farmer holding cotton, grapes, sweet potatoes, corn, and Peaches.
