This is a map of the Greater East Asia co-prosperity sphere, the name Japan gave to its empire. It was published by the mass market magazine named Ie no Hikari (light in home) on January 1st 1940 as a supplement to their 15th anniversary edition.

The map itself focuses mostly on the economic side of the Greater East Asian co-prosperity sphere. It shows the names of resources in red, including whale, opium, coal, steel, diamonds, and tobacco. The table on the right hand side of the map shows the imagined air attack routes of the allies. Below that there are charts showing the population, area, GDP per capita and finally, the spread of Japanese throughout the Greater East Asia co-prosperity sphere.

Condition: Map is in B+ condition, backed with linen for preservation and presentation purposes. Two small holes in the center have been filled in.
