This is an original antique relief map of Europe by the Atlas School Supply Company, constructed in 1907 out of their headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
The map displays exceptional detail with regards to not only the topography Africa, but the political geography at the turn of the 20th century. Some of regions worth noting in this map include Tripoli, British East Africa, Kongo Free State, French Kongo, Bechuana Land, British Bechuana Land, and Cape Colony. At the bottom of the map is vertical scale of elevation noting the height to be exaggerated 53 times.
Condition: Map is in B condition, lightly tone, mostly along the bottom which still showing bright original color, especially that of the oceans. In the lower left is a large hole that can be repaired at the request of the buyer for an additional discounted restoration fee.
