Antique Maps of the U.S. Midwest
As a Chicago-based company, we have a deep interested in the maps of the Midwest. Our sale stock of the region is broad and covers a wide time frame. Beginning with early French attempts to detail the interior of what would become the United States, cartographic luminaries such as Jacques Nicolas Bellin documented and named many of the lakes, rivers, and mountains we're familiar with today. We also have maps of individual cities, such as Lansing and Detroit, Michigan, Des Moines, Iowa, and, of course Chicago, Illinois. Rounding out our collection is a series by Samuel A. Mitchell Jr., which features maps of one or two individual states such as Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
