This is an authentic, antique map of the "Western States," by Warner & Beers, which includes the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Missouri. The map was published out of Chicago in 1872.
The map is color coded by county and delineates a sprawling network of railroad lines. Some of the counties in northern Wisconsin have yet to be divided further. The map also includes parts of Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Kansas.
Condition: This map is in A condition with a narrow top margin as the cartographic detail of Lake Superior extends well beyond the map borders. This is not really a condition issue, but still something worth noting. Colors are bold and paper is clean without any tears or holes.
