This lovely small map features North Africa from Libya in the west to an area north and east of the Arabian Gulf. Cities and other topographical and geographical features are depicted.
The Nile is meticulously drawn, from Ethiopia to its Delta, with both ancient and more modern cities named along its course. The many distributaries of the Nile Delta are finely detailed. Interestingly, the ancient Labyrinth of Egypt is depicted in the very place it is known to be, near Lake Moeris and the ancient city of Arsoe.
Condition: This map is in B condition with a small rust spot in the image.
