This decorative double-hemisphere map of the world includes the comparative heights of the world’s tallest mountains from such ranges as the Himalaya, Andes and Alps, and depicts them in the lower center of the map, along with pictorial information regarding agriculture in those areas.
Inset maps around the hemispheres depict the longest river systems in the world, including the basins of the Amazon and Tocantins, the La Plata, the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence, the Rhine, Danube and Dnieper, the Volga and Ural, the Indus, the Ganges and Irawady, the Yenesi, and the Mississippi and Missouri. Interestingly, the Nile is not included.
Condition: This map is in B+ condition. Separations at the centerfold have been repaired with archival material on the verso.
