1862 Map of Canada East in Counties
DESCRIPTION
This is an authentic, antique lithograph map of Eastern Canada by Samuel Augustus Mitchell Jr. The map was published in Philadelphia as part of Mitchell's New General Atlas of 1862. It focuses on the area between Montreal and New Brunswick, showing all counties in a color coded fashion. In the lower right is an inset map of the environs of Montreal. The map is surrounded by an elaborate floral boarder that distinguished Mitchell’s works from other map makers of his era.
