1860 Map of Ireland and Scotland
DESCRIPTION
This is an authentic, antique lithograph map of Ireland in Provinces and Counties and a County Map of Scotland by Samuel Augustus Mitchell Jr. The map was published in Philadelphia as part of Mitchell's New General Atlas of 1860.
It is color coded by county and important travel routes, towns, and cities throughout. Inset map of the Shetland Islands, left of the center separation line. The map is surrounded by an elaborate floral boarder that distinguished Mitchell’s works from other map makers of his era.
