DESCRIPTION
This fascinating pictorial map of the Philippine Islands was published by Ruth Taylor White in 1935, with the text done by her husband, Frank. "Our USA - a Gay Geography" offered maps of local color and flavor of the territories. They depict cultural stereotypes, agriculture, industries, as well as active characters.
This particular map shows, a Coal Mine, Cruise Ship, fishing, tourists swimming, a submarine, and various characters pointing the direction to other areas in this part of the Pacific Ocean.
