This is an authentic, antique map of Georgia which was created by Jean Alexandre Buchon and published in 1825.
It is taken from the French edition of Carey & Lea’s American Atlas and provides a detailed representation of early 19th century Georgia. The map identifies the various counties, cities, and towns and delineates the Native American territories in the western portion of the state.
The map is surrounded by text, which provides facts about the state government, history, population, climate, religion, and economy of Georgia.
Condition: This map is in B condition, with a vertical centerfold, and original coloring. There is a tear on the left-hand side of the map that has been repaired with restoration tape.
