This intriguing map of Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula is saturated with detail and fascinating information. Printed in 1780 as a later edition of Delisle's map from the early 1700 this map displays political divisions kingdoms encampments and settlements within an immense amount of topographical detail. The Nile is shown to originate from L de Dambee up in the mountain. Throughout the map are various notations regarding trade routes tribes and possible mineral rich areas. In the top right is a box with three scales of distance.
Condition: Map is in A+ condition with old coloring along the political and coastal borders and full margins all around.
