This is a map of Eastern Canada, New England and the Saint Lawrence River. It includes an inset of the 1744 Bellin version of the Great Lakes, which shows the mythical islands of Lake Superior. There is also a decorative cartouche in the bottom corner of a wilderness scene set against the backdrop of a Native American village.

This is the first issue of the map. Originally published during the French and Indian War in 1755, this map covers much of the territory that was contested by the British and the French and shows the location of many important forts.

Condition: This map is in A condition with original coloring. It has a vertical fold and some minor foxing around the margins.
