This is a lovely and comical broadside advertisement for the Chapellerie Bruyas (a fine hat shop) located in Rochefort, France. The poster presents a magicians assistant emptying a box of rabbits to into a machine that presumably secures them into a gentleman's top hat. The woman's long red dress flows into the decorative border of the poster and one rabbit appears to be escaping his imprisonment in a hat. The lower portion lists additional shop branches in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Nice, Orleans, and a number of other cities throughout France.
Condition: This poster is in A condition, with bright and bold color throughout. The piece has been professionally linen-backed fore preservation and presentation purposes.
