This is a very fine example of "The Earth and its Inhabitants" from Arnold Guyot's Intermediate Geographical Series. The atlas bears several places of publication, including Scribner, Armstrong, and Co. in New York, Hadley Brothers in Chicago, and Thopson, Brown and Co. in Boston.
The book is loaded with information pertaining to physical geography, climate, vegetation, animals, commerce, and how to draw maps among other topics. The book includes many lesson with suggested exercises and questions for students.
Condition: This book is in B+ condition with some staining to the covers and light offsetting on many of the pages opposite maps. The spine is well intact and all the pages are secure. The book can be examined page by page with ease and without fear of causing further damage.
