This is a superb example of Warren's Brief Course in Geography, published by Cowperthwait & Co. out of Philadephia in 1874. As the title suggests, the book is described within as being "intended for the use of those who have not time for a more extended study of the subject."
Warren's Brief Course in Geography is divided into two parts, the first being a overview study of the earth without political borders, its landforms, climate, vegetation, human inhabitants, and so on. The second part takes a more in-depth look at individual states, countries, and continents. The book is complete with eighteen map and many small woodblock illustrations that complement the subject matter within.
Condition: This book is in A condition with clean cover boards and a secure leather spine. Corners are lightly bumped and edge wear is subtle. The pages within are bright and clean with very little foxing, no tears or holes.
