This is a superbly preserved topographical map of Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. The present example is the 1939 edition that was reprinted in 1947. It was created from aril photographs and surveys done in 1931-32 by H.H. Hodgeson and R.T. Evans of the U.S.G.S.
The magnificent topography of Bryce Canyon is presented with hundreds of fine contour lines that settle upon the rivers that carved the canyon. The park boundary is outlined in orange, with roads, foot trails, pack trails, elevations, and other important data points noted throughout and identified in the explanation in the lower right.
About Bryce Canyon National Park
This smaller national park is in the southern portion of Utah. The sprawling reserve is known for crimson-colored hoodoos, which are spire-shaped rock formations. It's 36,000 acres in size, and was established in 1928. The Navajo Loop Trail is popular with tourists, along with star-gazing, canyon exploration, and visiting the Red Rock Amphitheater, forests & lakes.
