A sharp example of Bradford's map of Boston with portions of Cambridge, Charlestown, East Boston, Governor's Island, South Boston, and Roxbury.
This engraved map shows the city of Boston and surrounding areas color coded by ward with all principal streets delineated and named, important buildings noted, piers, wharfs, public gardens, and topographical features rendered in fine detail. The map presents the city of Boston prior to the Back Bay reclamation project of 1857 with two over-water railways feeding into the growing city.
Condition: This map is in A condition with original outline color and ample margins on all sides. Some faint staining is visible but mostly confined to the margins.
