This is an interesting and highly informative WWII era map of Seattle with accompanying city guide that describes itself as "the only book of its kind published in Seattle."

The street map provides the name and number of every street in Seattle and the surrounding area with red lines delineating trolley and Bus routes. Parks and playgrounds are also noted in color as is the newly constructed Lake Washington Pontoon Bridge (Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge) that connects the city to Mercer Island. The map also includes a table of sixty-one agencies contributing to the War and Community Chest with their individual percentages shown. Just beside this table is a postal office designation map.

The map comes with a detailed city guide that as described on the cover will tell any visitor "Where to go, What to See, How to get there." The book is comprised of 108 pages with useful information for the mid-century visitor including the location and contact information for hotels, fishing resorts, railroad depots, banks, auto stages, associations, hospitals, theaters, and clubs to name a few.

Condition: The map is in A condition, removed from the book and flattened with no tears or holes. The book is also in excellent condition with the covers still attached and no torn pages.
