This highly detailed map depicts the Upper Rhine region. This area, along with the Middle and Lower Rhine regions is known for its white wines. UNESCO named the Upper Middle Rhine region a world heritage site in 2002.
Topographic information is shown in great detail, including the numerous vineyards which already dotted the landscape at the time the map was drawn. This map was published during the lifetime of Homann himself.
