Antique map of the German Empire and parts of England and other countries of Europe, showing the various political divisions of late 17th century. This scarce map was first published in Jaillot’s rare atlas which was dedicated to the Duke of Bourgogne.
The map is embellished by two cartouches. The elaborate allegorical title cartouche features Europa in a chariot accompanied by a group of putti. The title is also featured in Latin in the top margin. River gods are featured in the second cartouche, which contains the publisher’s imprint and the key to the map.
Condition: This map is in A condition with beautiful original color on lightly toned paper with full margins on all sides.
