This is a schematic map of the state of Texas detailing the abundant wealth of their economy with regards to products produced by growing or extracting from the land. The map was published within an article expanding on the topic in the January 1941 issue of Fortune Magazine.

The manner in which this map was made can best be referred to as a photo-inlay map that combines artistry of Antonio Petruccelli with a photographic images of a physical diagram of Texas. Color coded pins representing natural gas, oil, sulfur, and various crop and livestock agriculture are meticulously placed throughout a board in the shape of Texas. When the image was taken, the lighting casts numerous shadows across the map which add to the overall visual effect. The process is repeated in a smaller inset map that locates Army Posts across the state colored by geographical region.

Condition: This map is in A condition, originally printed on two separate pages and professionally joined in the center. A fold crease in the right is original with the publication of the map.
