This brightly colored folding map is a lithographic print depicting the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe (ATSF) Railway System. The map covers the area from Chicago all the way to a number of points on the Pacific Coast, including Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois, to Texas, Mexico, and the Gulf of Mexico. The route of the ATSF is in red with all stops along its way marked and labeled.
Other existing rail lines of the time are also shown and labeled, including the Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, and the Western Pacific. All the important cities and towns through which these rail lines pass are also labeled. The Grand Canyon is clearly depicted in Arizona, with the Grand Canyon Railway, later purchased by the ATSF, providing transportation for visitors to it.
Condition: This folding map is in A condition with bright colors and no tears or fold separations. The map has been professionally linen-backed for preservation and presentation purposes.
