This is a colorful and informative wall map of Paris and its surroundings with an additional map of the inner city of Paris. The map was produced by Westermann Publishing, which was originally founded by George Westermann in Braunschweig, Germany in the late 19th century.
The map shows the growth of the city from the center outward with color and borders that represent the years 1652, 1789, and 1840. Many elements of the map are identified in the key, including areas of major construction, highways, commuter and industrial railways and stations, parks, forests, meadows, and graveyards. This all encompassing map of Paris brings together a wealth of useful data from the early 1960s as well as historical context in a way that is both easy to understand and pleasing to the eye.
Condition: This wall map is in A condition with no tears or holes. It is vibrant with color on clean paper that is backed with its original linen. The is still attached to its original rollers that can be removed at the request of the buyer for framing.
