This authentic hand-colored antique map from Mitchell’s New General Atlas beautifully depicts the city of Boston along with parts of East Cambridge, Charlestown, East and South Boston. Wonderful detailing describes parks, streets, cemeteries, trains and important buildings. Color coded according to city wards.

An inset map is in the lower right quadrant called ‘Map of the Country around Boston Showing Also its Harbor and Islands’.

The waterfront is rendered in great detail with ferries’ routes, jetties, wharves, docks and piers clearly defined and named. The maps are framed by one of Mitchell’s distinctive floral and vine-leaf borders.
