This highly detailed folding map of Yosemite National Park published by the US Department of the Interior was based on surveys conducted by Marshall and Sylvester during the years 1893-94, 1896, 1898-99, and 1905. This updated edition was published in 1906. The map shows the new Park boundaries and details the topography of the area including existing trails and roads and suggested ones, permanent patrol stations and sub-stations as recommended by the Report of the Yosemite Park Commission dated August 31, 1904 and suggested military posts.
The details of the map include all the place names of famous geologic and geographic features in the park, including rivers, mountains, canyons, valleys along with towns, settlements, and even ranches. This map could be used today to find the most important and impressive natural monuments of Yosemite National Park.
Condition: This folding map is in B+ condition with separations at folds restored with archival material on the verso.
