This authentic antique map of the state of Washington was one in a series commissioned by the Department of the Interior, when William A. Richards was commissioner. In addition to its attractive coloring, the map provides a wealth of detail about the state. Forest reserves are color-coded in green, Indian reservations in yellow, and all counties, major cities and towns are included.
The western edge of the state of Idaho is also included. All major and many less than major geophysical features are described in detail, river systems are clearly marked and colore dofr easy of finding them. Townships containing coal and those thought to contain coal are included.
Condition: This map is in A+ condition. Published in folded form, there is slight darkening of some folds on the verso, but otherwise the map is in remarkable condition.
