This authentic antique map by Chatelain is from one of the earlier editions of his Atlas Historique. The splendid hand-colored folio sheet features two maps of Ireland, with one showing its four provinces, each a different color for easily distinguishing one from the other.
Panels feature lovely coats of arms of Great Britain and Ireland, along with a number of texts which provide a detailed history of the governmental structure, civil service, banks, and the legal system. The lower corners feature vignettes depicting the Parliament and the House of Commons of Ireland.
Condition: This map is in A condition with some toning and stains in the border.
