Her whimsical maps, which she called cartographs, combine graphic style, vibrant color and comical observation of the chosen landscape. In this map, the Island of Hawaii is depicted. Vibrant colors are used throughout the map, highlighting the wide variety of physical and cultural geography of the island, with major roads delineated, and points of interest both historical and modern all noted. The volcanoes of the island are beautifully depicted, with curious sightseers peering into two of them, while a carefree fellow on a toboggan coasts down the snowy side of Mauna Kea.
Condition: This charming map is in B+ condition, with very minor color loss in a few places.
