This is a road map of Central California with a focus Yosemite National Park. The map was produced for the California State Automobile Association circa 1940
This promotional map covers much of the Central Valley, Sierra Nevada mountain range and Yosemite National Park. Major roads are shown in red with numbers indicating distance between various places. Red stars indicate branch locations of the CSAA and there are three small circular insert maps that show their exact location. One remarkable aspect of the map is the hydrological detail given to the numerous river systems in the area. On the verso is a small map of Yosemite Valley with topographical details and numerous distance tables to Yosemite.
