This is an authentic, antique map of Buffalo, New York that was created by Joseph Ellicott in 1804 and published by Richard Pease in 1848.

This is an early plan of the city of Buffalo, which was designed as a grid system by city planner and surveyor Joseph Ellicott. Accordingly, the map shows the major streets and subdivisions of Buffalo converging on the main public square in a neat and orderly fashion. The map also features Lake Erie and Big Buffalo Creek, and notes the piers and dams constructed near these bodies of water.

In addition, there is an inset of the village of New Amsterdam (before it became New Buffalo) in the upper-left-hand corner from the surveyor Joseph Ellicott, 1804.

Condition: This map is in B+ condition, with a small tear in the upper part of the map and a minor hole its center.
