This is an original lithograph print from the painting by German artist Paul Meyerheim. It is the exhibition of a travelling company of human curiousities, advertised as genuine North American Indians. The spectators are assembled in a German country village. The ingenious master of this popular entertainment, standing in front of the platform, declaiming upon the savage ferocity of his Ojibbeway friends. The audience all seem to enjoy the "Wild Indian Show", in one way or another, for the artist has caught upon each face a very natural expression of the feeling in their minds.
