This is an original 1960s vintage poster of the Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado. The poster shows a skier in sunglasses, a sweater, and tights racing down the slope. On the bottom of the poster is the title text “Breckenridge” in a stylized red font with the subtext “Colorado” underneath in a black sans serif font.
Breckenridge Ski Resort was first opened on December 16, 1961 and is spread across five peaks that make up the southern half of the Tenmile Range. Breckenridge was the first ski resort in Colorado to allow snowboarders, and even hosted the World Snowboarding Championship in 1986. It is still a popular destination for snowboarders and hosts a number of terrain parks. The town of Breckenridge was originally a mining town built in the 1850s to support an influx of gold miners. Breckenridge Ski Resort is one of the most popular and most visited ski resorts in the western hemisphere.
With beautiful coloring and fine composition, this vintage print of the Ski Broadmoor is a beautiful example of a 1960s travel poster.
