This is an authentic antique map of the state of Colorado, produced by the General Land Office in Washington D.C., dated 1905.
This detailed map acts primarily as a geographic reference for the possibility of coal production. Areas shaded in orange distinguish land containing workable coal, while areas shaded in blue represent land likely to contain workable coal. Numerous other colors used throughout the map show land occupied by Indian reservations, military, private claims, and the forest preserve. Three inserts above include the Leadville region, the city of Denver, and Cripple Creek.
Condition: Map is in A condition, originally folded now flattened, with bright color and a minor fold separation that does not enter the image.
